KARL VILHJÁLMSSON

I’m a photographer based in Helsinki.

I was born and raised in Iceland but moved to Finland in the 1990’s where I studied to become photographer at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki.

After a career working with news media and various magazines, I now live in Helsinki where I mostly work with portraits and documentary photography. Architecture and landscape photography is also high on my ”like to do” list. I feel as much at home up in the Icelandic highlands as in my studio in eastern Helsinki, planning, creating and making photographs.

So lets plan, create and make photographs together!
